I think a mojito should be considered healthy as it contains fruits (lime) and vegetables (mint).

its about the end of the line for mojitos, a decidedly summer drink

but they are still yummy

and sorry margaret, while your country breakfast does indeed look good, i got me a taste for a bit of spice, like some breakfast fajitas

Dang, I always arrive so late for breakfast... Ah, but I see a nice warm plate of those fajitas waiting, still.

Honeydew and raspberries, too!

:grouphug: JFZers! Have a good one.

Since I'm up a little too late, I thought I'd leave breakfast out for all you early risers. It's Friday, something special is in order!

I like the inspiration. Anyone remember the scrambled eggs video? I use that technique now; very yummy.
Love the beans, Jen. I have a grinder built into my coffee maker so on the weekends, :coffee: is even more of a treat.

It's so much better freshly roasted and/or freshly ground. :)

You need the whole URL between the youtube markers.

I know, but at work I can't go there to get it. I copied that from the CFZ post where I first saw it.

We have much to be thankful for, especially Decadent's puppy being on her way to a full recovery a good life to look forward to. :msbouncy:

I have an old cat who I am pretty sure is in his final days. Every nap in the warmth of the sun seems precious now, as well as every morning that I check and find him still breathing softly. I hope he passes quietly in his sleep; so far he does not complain of any pain but he is frail. This week's turn to autumn has seen a change in him as well and I don't think he wants to weather winter to get through to another summer. His life has become very simple and peaceful; I hope his death is, too.

Good morning JFZ. :coffee:

Thanks, Mulch...you old softy.

...

It was nice to meet you, too, Jen.

...

Sorry, Laurynce. :( We will have to rectify that. Although, I wasn't quite myself last night. :P

...

Coco, I'm sure you're familiar enough with the circle of life to appreciate a life lived long and well. I was catching up on things and having my morning coffee outside with Old Man (previously known as Theo) and moving his chair to keep the him in the sun. I've resigned myself and over the last few days I've been sending my hopes for a recovery over to Decadent's puppy; that's how it should be. We have to be grateful when an old one passes peacefully and a young one gets another chance.

What constitutes work for "easy" and "brain" money?

Anyone for dessert?

A glass of sherry?

"easy" is not a lot of shit needed to be done and plenty of hands to do it with, it was cake

"brain" is getting paid more than others for a prime spot in a a specialized situation

i get paid more for what i know... and generally it is even less work than "easy"

in other words, i will be getting a very nice payday for a very easy week

and the temp dropped 10 degrees in one day and is staying down

we are back in the 90's, hibernation is over

all in all, a fairly gentle and well timed payday to get the season rolling with

and to end the hell we in the desert know as summer with

before sherry, join me as i empty my summer stock

Image

sherry is better being sipped on a cold night next to a crackling fire

:oops2: you forgot the time difference, I've finished the sherry. The beer would have been welcome after the dog and I got back from our walk; more of a hike being a sunny autumn Sunday. The nights here are cool, mid fifities now and should dip down into the forties overnight. Not cold enough for a fire but these nights are perfect for bonfires.

On a night like this, I think it's important to not limit one's options.

Not directly, thanks. Certainly there is concern and potential repercussions, as there is for anyone in my community. So I will be following the negotiations closely and with great interest ...

:furtiveglance:

...unless my lack of direct involvement means that I should butt out and mind my own business. :P
