what i did exactly:
i stand up no ao or anomation wearring the skirt
then i put the script in content of skirt
close edit
touch skirt a blue pop window menu comes out i press ignore
then i sit and i adjust the skirt by rotating the pleats to sitting position
then record---> and stand up
result: pleats still rotated up,

they dont fall down to standing position
question: do i need to record the standing position b4 sitting?
thAnk you i appreciate ur response
Thanks for the detailed explanation Sonia. Most of what you write sounds perfect, and at this stage I can only think of two things.
a) When you write "i adjust the skirt by rotating the pleats to sitting position" do you mean this literally? I mean, are you editing each pleat individually, or the skirt as a single whole? SkirtSitter works only for the latter case.
b)
You should not need to record the standing position. What happens is that when SkirtSitter first runs, it records the position/rotation of the skirt automatically, as "default" pos/rot's. When you hit "record", it takes note of the current skirt pos/rot, and adds this to a list of pos/rot's, with a note that this entry applied to whatever you were doing when you hit "record" - in your case, sitting. When you change pose, SkirtSitter goes through this list to see if the pose is there. If it is, it applies the recorded pos/rot, if not it just uses the "default" values. So, when you stand up, SkirtSitter detects this, looks for pos/rot data for the standing pose, finds that there isn't any, and applies the default values, returning to skirt to its "normal" location.
This is why you only need to record poses that you wish to modify the positioning for (like sitting), and not those you don't (like standing).
That's the sleep-inducing long form, of the short-answer: no, you don't need to record the standing positioning.
The only way I can see this breaking is if somehow the default values have become corrupted. Since the default values are measured on script start-up, perhaps you could reset the script, either by the Tools Menu, or editing it (adding a space or something) and saving.
