Good morning JFZ. :coffee:

Not around much as I'm tending to someone dear to me who's been as a mother to me since my own mom died when I was a young adult. My mother was born to Polish immigrants who had no money for health care for their large clan. A bout with rheumatic fever left her with a damaged heart, with one of the venrticles atrophied. In spite of doctor's cautions not to have any children, she had five, finally having a daughter after four boys, late in life at that. I guess it's a tribute to her sturdy Polish stock, known to live into their nineties, that she did so and outlived their life expectancy for her. As our politicians debate universal health care, I think a lot about her childhood situation and am discouraged that so many still share the choice of food and shelter versus proper medical treatment for their families. While I am appreciative of the medical facility afforded to my aunt due to her life work in the auto industry, my heart is heavy over the wide disparity in our society which places this out of reach for so many.

Thank you, Beezle. I needed someone to test out my new surveillance system which I have installed for later review. There is no time limit set for my rebuke.

I was told this is a Jive Free Zone. If there are any other tiny, angry men here at DOD could someone give me a heads up? Or anyone with a Napoleonic complex.

thanks!

Welcome to the JFZ, Ingrid. Tiny desserts are on me.

It's cause you need a hug, but no one wants to spend the quality time with the tweezers that would be involved after.

Ingrid was asking about tiny angry MEN

She didn't say anything about petite, ravishing, occasionally miffed goddesses. :P

Happy Friday JFZ.

Unfortunately, I have to go out of town for a wedding involving people I hardly know.

Fortunately, it's in Kalamazoo, MI. Which means...

I'm staying in town for a funeral of someone I dearly love and badly miss, I'd rather it be a wedding. One of my favorite books is "At Weddings and Wakes" by Alice McDermott. It gave the feel of my own huge extended familly.

/me raises up a 7&7 for my aunt...

Have I mentioned how much I dislike this forum's propensity for adding a non-existent page to a thread, then telling me "no posts exist for this topic"?
